Spaces for growing together
Are you having an awesome activist or art project in your head but you can’t find the peace of mind to develop it?
Are you longing for a quiet time out to create, conceptualize new ideas and allow rest to inspire you?
We offer a studio space with a dance floor, a big garden with wild fruit and lakes nearby, creative exchanges and calm conversations, a shared kitchen, a river on site, dramaturgical support, instruments, 6 beds, and a small library.
We are based in Kärnten | Carinthia | Koroška.
At the moment we prefer longer residency periods, at least two weeks to a month, in order to get to know you deeper and weave a temporary community from the sharing of space and time.
Curiosities to share?
Apply now with your project group or by yourself.
Simply write your idea and some details about how you would like to use your time here.
We are open for any field and curiosity that you may bring.
Looking forward to getting to know you and witness your processes.
And who are we?
We is currently shaped by Sonia and Gregor.
The residency is resting in our arms.
Here is one way how we described the strange hybrid being that comes alive when our heads met in 2024:
They think and work with their bodies. To work is to dance. They fluidly navigate between, performance, curation, activism, clownery, art management, production, dance pedagogy and choreography, in order to consciously face the social and structural challenges within & around them. Grounded and with attentive care, they hope to foster empathy wherever they lay, their bodies move. They trust that compassion and openness will spring from feeling how we are touched by the environment. Queering practices to transform the relationships of nonhuman and human beings.
Solidarity with art. Solidarity within art. Solidarity through art.
In order to offer a platform for international young artists to exchange and create across mediums, they co-founded Collective B, a fluid art-association, based in Vienna (AT) & Lodève (FR), combining performance, dance, music, circus, visual arts and love. Seeing a need for social activism that is rooted in the body, they are co-creating the Civil Action Network – CAN. The Vienna-based peace association is developing social projects combining art, dance, public spaces, civic engagement and activism.
